Review on Premium Windproof Travel Umbrella: Compact, Portable Folding Automatic & Strong Wind Resistant Double Canopy For Women & Men - Perfect For Backpack, Car Or Purse! by Thomas Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A sturdy umbrella, but the extra strength makes it heavier

After many years, my 6-rib black single canopy foldup travel umbrella blew out and broke a rib. I carry an umbrella on daily walks in the Pacific Northwest when rain threatens. Needless to say, the umbrella gets used a lot.Looking for a replacement, I wanted a stronger umbrella of the same size and weight. This one is the same length but slightly larger in diameter when folded and 25% heavier, i.e. 4 oz heavier (15 vs 11 oz), and has a double canopy. Held in the hand, the weight difference is noticeable, but not a deal-breaker when strength is a goal.I've only had the umbrella for a couple of weeks, but I'm satisfied so far.

Pros
  • Great coverage but a bit difficult to close.
Cons
  • The handle may be slippery and difficult to grip when wet
