I had a 24 inch quick coupler set for a while before I could use it. The negative cable fell off the first time it was connected. Literally. I thought it might not fit properly so I pushed it back. Moved it to put it back in the connection position and it fell out again. I examined the connector and found that the retaining springs were not bent enough to hold tension and any movement was causing the wire to fall out. When I connected the plugs together, they didn't stick either. I used a couple of screwdrivers to flex the springs more and they seem to be holding. I bought sets of 24, 7 and two 3 inches and all but one of the shorter ones needed work on the springs.
