Review on Discontinued Epson XP-310: Wireless Color Photo Printer, Scanner, and Copier by Wei Fan

Bought this printer for home use. Print multiple things multiple times a week. Nothing serious. Mostly black and white but wanted color. SO - This printer worked great for the first few months. Then black ink started to print poorly. I thought we just ran out, although the ink levels showed we had had enough. I bought and installed new black ink and it still prints the same. Then I went through the maintenance process, checked nozzles, cleaned heads etc and it still didn't work well - printing was very easy but the color part helped. After being unused for some time, he reprinted the same edition. Bought another mascara, same problem. After cleaning and checking the nozzles, it printed reasonably well. Then he paused and typed weakly. I assume I received a defective product as most of the reviews are good. I've had another brand that worked and worked for many years and it was my first time trying Epson and this will be my last. I am buying a brand new printer and there is no more ink for this printer. Two stars because if it worked it would be great - the wifi is fantastic. UPDATE: Still disappointed with this printer. I don't know why there are so few complaints about the ink. ? We use this printer and the ink runs out so quickly. I'm just trying to print worksheets for my daughter and it just won't let us. Although there is a function to print only "BLACK" ink. However, cyan and magenta are almost out of print (which I rarely print in color, so this seems unusual) and it won't let us print. Buy a new Revain printer now. Back at HP I had the same printer for years with no problems until it "got old". EPSON does not get my recommendation! 2. UPDATE **** I have now read and researched that many newer printers do not allow printing in BLACK only, even though there is an IF NOT ALL INK feature. Clearly negligent behavior towards the consumer, which allows PROFITS to be made only from ink. Now switch to a black laser model. It's been so long. 3. UPDATE - April 7, 2015 - I noticed that Epson has provided certain updates to extend the life of the ink. Excellent work. Before that I filed a complaint with the BBB - all EPSON suggested was extra ink - not really my only issue. HERE IS THE LABEL PRINT I NEED (TO SEND MY BUSINESS PRODUCTS). ALMOST A YEAR LATER, AND I STILL HAVE THIS ISSUE 4 OUT OF THE 5 TIMES I PRINT. I ONLY REPLACED THE BLACK CASSETTE - HERE IS THE RESULT. AGAIN - IF THE PRINTER WORKS - WOULD BE GREAT.
