Very good quality key fob I bought this to replace my broken key fob on a 2013 VW Jetta (Golf) sports car. I basically transferred the parts (circuit board and key blade) from my original key fob to this replacement key fob. IMPORTANT! Watch the tutorial videos on You Tube before attempting to disassemble your original keychain! ALSO IMPORTANT! Do not attempt to hammer the pin that "locks the two halves of the fob" into the case as this WILL DAMAGE the circuit board. Better to grind, melt, etc. the plastic around the pin just enough for you to use small wire cutters to pry/pull out the pin. I used a dremel with a small sanding attachment. Now to the product itself. This key fob is very similar in quality to OEM VW. I was very pleased with the feel, weight and construction of the product. Note that I ended up having to file the original blade to fit the loop properly as the original blade was too tight. Also my original key fob had a panic button, this replacement does not have it (as clearly stated in the product description) but there is enough room for the panic button on the circuit board not to interfere with the installation of the key fob body. After assembling I tried all the buttons several times and started the car several times, everything worked as it should. I am very comfortable. I refrain from inserting a locking pin into the key fob body to ensure I don't have to take it apart again, but the halves snap together and feel very secure without the pin. If I don't have any problems, or if the halves want to come apart, I can use a locking pin. If you're good with tools, that's a HUGE money saver! As mentioned above, I didn't use the board or blade that came with this product so I can't comment on the cutting/programming of these components, but I will say my original board was meant to look slightly different than the one used This product comes with a keychain.
