I chose a scratching post for my tortoise because she needs to stay in my room at our new location and has nothing to scratch except my bed. I've reviewed many mushroom scrapers and this one has it all! Others were about half the price but they were so small and not heavy enough - people said they would fall on their kitties! Jezabelle is quite a big cat so I knew I needed a bigger cat scratching post, but my room is small so I couldn't buy her a whole scratching post. This scraper has it all! Three levels and 2 toys for them! The moment I put it on the floor she started scratching it! I've had the scratching post for less than 24 hours and have seen her climb on it, rub against it, play with every toy and lay on it! I've never seen her love anything so much! When I tried to assemble it the only instructions were a picture with numbers. At first I was a bit confused, but then I realized how everything is arranged and how everything fits together. The mouse toy has a small plastic element that needs to be inserted into the bottom of the base and then tucked in. It wasn't explained in the instructions and I didn't even know the plastic part existed until I accidentally found it lying on my bed. It's not on the list, so keep looking! You will need it for the mouse toy to fit! The scratch had an artificial smell and I thought Jezebel would be put off by that, but she didn't mind at all! I'm sure this smell will fade over time and I'm sure you can spray the scratching post with your own scent to make it go away. All in all, if you are short on space, have a decent sized kitten/kitten and love mushrooms, this is the comb for you! He's bigger than any other mushroom scraper I've found, he has 3 stands while the others I've found only have 2, and he has 2 toys! It arrived in perfect condition and my fluffy baby loved it straight away and uses it in so many different ways throughout the day!
