Review on Trudeau 09607080A Porcelain Butter Boat by Tony Wylie

Arrived in good condition, does what it says on the tin. It maintains a more consistent oil temperature than a traditional butter mold. It's winter here now, but the butter stays soft. It will be interesting to see what it will be like in summer when it is up to 50 degrees outside and up to 70 degrees in the kitchen. I believe based on what I've seen so far this doesn't melt the butter like a traditional butter dish. I'm glad I bought it. A friend gave me some advice: when putting butter on the table, just remove the top plate from the water bath. The top bowl is fully glazed and looks inviting, and you don't have to worry about spilling water or setting out a heavy plate of butter for guests to pass. Works perfectly!
