Upright for hunting knife

Advantages: The knife is beautiful. Kydex sheaths are very durable. The ferro rod and firing pin are also attached to the shell very securely and are of good quality. Steel should withstand moderate use well. Cons: It's made in China, which doesn't really bother me as I have a lot of quality products made in China, but that information isn't available on Revain. It's printed on the back of the packaging, not on the knife itself, which is nice. Also, I wasn't expecting a US made knife with all the extra bells and whistles it comes with. I have medium wide hands with long fingers and a good grip, but I would like the grip to be a bit longer. If you have big, wide hands, this will not be comfortable at all. Another problem is the scales on the handle. Haven't had a chance to test it yet, but I'm a little concerned about how well they attach to the steel. I rinsed the knife with water after wiping off the grease/oil and while wiping the knife dry there was water in the seam between the steel and scales. This makes me a little nervous as the only thing that attaches the scale to the stock is 2 sets of fairly small parts. Although the full stock with finger guards can save you from cutting crap out of your hand if it fails. I don't intend to use the knife for any stabbing action that would cause this, but corrosion is also a big issue. In conclusion, I firmly believe that you get what you paid for. Other than that, this knife works for my purposes. The overall size is good, the steel should be able to handle any stress and the aesthetics are pleasing. I will update my review when I post it on the spot.
