My dogs are now begging every time I go into the pantry. I give them freeze dried food once a week as a treat and supplement to their regular dry food that I reserve for free feeding. In order to absorb water, you have to stir a lot. I usually just try to break the medallions into a few small pieces and make sure the water gets on all the pieces when I stir.
