Received this small storage and sterilization case which was still kept in a jar on the bathroom counter - not very attractive. that this device replaces 'proper' cleaning with water, solution and a toothbrush, but UV light has been shown to be effective at killing bacteria, so storing your retainer is a good option. The case charges using a regular USB-C cable (included) and a charger. (not provided). A yellow LED next to the charging port indicates that the device is charging and turns green when charging is complete. Inside the clamshell body is a textured soft silicone surface in the lower half and there are 3 UV emitters in the lid. To use, simply open the case held in place by magnetic clasps, insert the clasp and press the button on top for 2 seconds to start the sterilization process. The hinges feel a bit flimsy, the only part of this article that bothers me a bit. A white LED illuminates at the top and purple UV light is visible through the stitching to let you know the device is working. At the end of the process, the device will emit a series of beeps and the LED on top will turn green. In a month I only had to charge the device twice, once when I received it and the other to charge it 3 months later. weeks. Charging was quick and easy. How effective is it? Well, it's hard to understand, but it should be better than nothing. In addition, the rounded body offers good protection and has the added benefit of not showing the unsightly latch. I like it and will continue to use it.
