Broken out of the box - terrible guarantee

Bought as a gift for my wife who has been out of town for several weeks. The on/off switch was blocked when it was very hot the first time it was used. Wouldn't turn off. Missed Revain's return window. The company charges $29.99 for a replacement if the problem occurs &gt; 30 days after purchase. They call it a "1 year warranty". I call it useless.

EASY TO USE AND CARRY: The beautifully designed handle of the straightening brush is hand shaped and feels comfortable in the hand. The 360° rotating cable offers great flexibility to move freely without tangling or damaging the cable. This is a great hair dryer for home or travel use. For maximum comfort and ease of use when styling.
