Easycel TOSlink Digital Audio to RCA Analog Audio Converter works!

Overview - Easycel Audio Digital to Analog Converter DAC with 3.5mm Jack Optical SPDIF Toslink Coaxial to Analog Stereo L/R Converter Adapter with Optical Cable and Power Adapter for PS3 PS4 XBox DVD Roku --- HURRAH! It works out. This product comes with everything you need to connect your new HDTV's TOSlink digital audio output to your old analog stereo audio receiver's stereo audio inputs. This product includes a TOSlink cable that needs to be connected to your HDTV. This product also includes the required AC to 5V DC power transformer. note that I chose this vendor - Easycel - from other otherwise identical units sold on Amazon because this one comes with an AC/DC transformer for power. , and the necessary TOSlink cable, which Amazon sellers of some similar devices don't seem to include in their packaging. Installing this converter only takes a few minutes. First turn off your HDTV and audio receiver. Then connect a TOSlink cable (optical fiber) to the digital audio output of the HDTV. Then connect the other end of the cable to the TOSlink digital connector on the Transducer Block. Next, connect the analog stereo RCA cable you used earlier to connect to the analog stereo input on your audio receiver, with the cinch sockets on the other side of the converter box. Then connect the 5V DC power transformer to the 120V outlet and the other end to the converter. Finally, turn on your audio receiver and HDTV. In the HDTV settings, select PCM encoded digital audio output. Voila, you now have stereo sound from your HDTV to your stereo analog audio receiver and back. Please note that this converter will NOT provide all 5.1 or 7.1 digital audio channels from an HDTV as analog audio channels. This converter levels down and combines audio into just two analog stereo audio channels. This small 2" by 2" box for just over $10 allows you to continue using your existing analog stereo audio receiver for HDTV audio. . There are those of us who enjoy the creamy sound of our old (and now rather expensive) collectible McIntosh stereo audio receivers and Klipsch horn speakers (check out their price cuts on Amazon these days, which were available decades ago but are now the budget one millionaire require). HDTV companies could keep some analog stereo audio outputs on their HDTVs for a dollar or two, but for some reason they all seem stingy with the dollar or two that will cost them. Maybe they are working with audio receiver manufacturers to get us to buy more gear. Luckily, however, these cheap converters save the day. Although the converter comes with a small instruction manual, the device is so obvious and so easy to connect that instructions are not required. Enjoy!
