I use this soap as part of a 3 element strategy to keep my eczema at bay. I have suffered from neurodermatitis since childhood and the only remedy that has helped me for a long time is to wash the affected areas with sea water every evening after work. But there's always the fear of getting caught in a whirlpool, and now that I live too far from the beach to make daily visits impractical, I had to find another solution. I started using this soap in addition to a very effective cream that I have been using for several months. My improvements continued; the inflamed skin hasn't returned and the discoloration has gone from one big spot to two smaller ones, but honestly I can't tell how much of it has to do with creams, that soap, or my third part of my strategy. that consumes chia seeds. However, since I use this soap on a daily basis and not creams and chia seeds on a daily basis anymore, I find that it helps. So, no empirical evidence, but I really like this soap. I find it helps with my skin issues and I find it really soothing and makes me feel cleaner using it than regular name brand soaps. Although the price seems a bit high, in my case I have found that the soap lasts longer than supermarket soap so the higher price is negligible in the long run.
