I bought this because it was the controller I needed for my dead controller. My Playstation 4 controller stopped charging after using the wall wart multiple times to fast charge my Samsung phone. This happened to two of my controllers before I found out why. The controllers work as long as the battery is charged, they just don't charge. In any case, if your controller is working but not charging, or if you disconnected a cable when connecting, this is what you need. My controller now charges normally after replacing it. Taking the PS4 controller apart can be a little tricky, but it's doable if you take your time. Replacing this part is fairly easy. I wish I didn't have 2 to buy a pack of 2 but I'm really glad my $60 controller is working again now! Make sure the part number matches what you are buying or it will not work! The controller on this replacement is not as bright as the original, I like that.
