This product is suitable as an ice bucket. But the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the grip lost one of the side screws in the first few days of ownership. Yes, I wrote "screws" because they are not rivets (which they are supposed to be). Luckily for me my wife saw the screw on the kitchen counter and asked what it was for and saved it for me. I don't know how long it will take for them to loosen again, but I used pliers to tighten the screws.
