Review on Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac: Wireless, Backlit, Compact Keyboard with USB-C Compatibility and Tactile Typing by Andrew Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Keyboard should be great

I have to admit I didn't do enough research before buying. The keyboard itself is good, it's similar to the MX keys I use.1. No receiver support. It looks like a product decision that these MX Mini Keys have dropped support for the Logi Unifying USB receiver and surprisingly the Logi Bolt USB receiver will be "COMING SOON" on the Logi website and of course you can't gotten from Revain .2 . Degraded Mac experience if you have FileVault enabled. For security reasons, Macbook doesn't allow you to input data via Bluetooth keyboard (except magic keyboard) before login. I use a Macbook at work and due to company policy I can't turn off FileVault. Connecting MX dongles via Unifying solves the problem. However, it will no longer work with MX Mini Keys until I get the Bolt. Unfortunately the Bold receiver is sold separately and technically you can't buy it anywhere as it is still in COMING status.
