Review on 🔋 BLACK+DECKER BDH2000PL Lithium 20V by Samantha Maldonado

In my house it's mostly used on the kitchen floor - a constant struggle for bits, crumbs, spills and messes. Secondary use - cleaning car mats from crumpled sheets. This worked great for what I needed it for. A small valve in the drum prevents the crumbs from flowing down the chute and back to the ground. It does get clogged with hair and larger items that I've probably been asking too much of the vacuum to even pick up. When you empty the drum, a pencil or chopstick is pulled out to remove dirt from the flap. The weight is comfortable for me and my 5 year old has also been using it for a few years, its height and weight are suitable for children. I can't recall any complaints about the suction power. Worked for about two years, then the battery began to fail. It still works, but it doesn't hold a charge very long, maybe a minute or so before dying. When you turn the switch back on, it turns back on in less than 30 seconds. If you sweep the pile first, you can still do a super quick clean before it does. I milked her and figured I just had to order a battery. Now that almost another year has passed of only using it for super fast jobs I have come to the conclusion: NO REPLACEMENT BATTERY TO BUY. SHAME about Black and Decker for NOT MAKING A RENEWABLE PRODUCT AND INSTEAD MAKING A SINGLE USE. You can buy replacement filters but not the battery. When I buy a vacuum cleaner, I see it as an investment, not a disposable item. I definitely expected to live off this thing for many years to come. In the end I'm happy with its short battery life or it just dies completely and I'm looking for a new handheld vacuum of a different brand. I think it will go in the trash. I'm sorry mother earth. Apart from that it's a very good little vacuum cleaner, but since the lifespan does not exceed that of the original battery, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND.
