Review on 🐱 Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 20 Ft: High Speed Flat Internet Network LAN Cable with Gold Plated RJ45 Connector for Xbox, PS4, Router, Modem, Gaming, Hub-White by Dan Bobbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great, strong and long cable.

This is a really good and decent category 8 cable. I notice that the first thing to note is that this is a shielded cable so is weatherproof for durability. They are great for indoor/outdoor wiring (although I'm not the type to run cables outdoors) as they are very easy to straighten but a bit tricky to shape into this cable. I usually just push the cable against the wall I'm running it against. It goes so well with my white wall that I hardly notice it. As far as I can tell, the cables will work with any Ethernet port, be it Cat 8, 7, or 6. The other thing is that it's definitely a good upgrade over the older Cat 6 and 5 cables. The cable is very flat and thin, making it easy to hold it on the computer or, if necessary, on the wall. The cable is relatively long at five meters, so you can be sure that you have more than enough cable to connect your router to your devices in a large room. I recommend using this to hide the cords on the wall. The reason is that with a white wall, most people won't notice the cable running along it. I keep it close to the bottom of the wall so it's not as visible and the white wall makes it really hard to see. I usually use this for my firewall for my model router. Again, this is a fairly flat cable so you can run it over it and it won't look too bad if the wall color is white. There is only one cable, but the price is reasonable for this length. You get a decent transfer rate that's great and you don't get a lot of glitches. Depending on the router/switch/modem, the speed is quite high. Overall, this is a great cable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their Ethernet cable while also using Cat. 6 or 5. It is also weather resistant, making it more durable than other cables.

Pros
  • ethernet cable
Cons
  • boring packaging
