I bought this for my 3 year old and he can drink from it perfectly without help. It can easily raise and lower the lid and carry it with you or to and from school. They are perfect for a lunch box or side mount in a backpack. They're lightweight, yet made from quality materials that look and feel durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of a preschooler. They are very easy to clean once you know how to remove the straw. You just take it apart, dip it in hot soapy water, rinse well and air dry. I also washed them in the top shelf dishwasher. I still give it time to air dry before storing to prevent mold from growing in the straw area because it's covered in moisture. These are by far the best baby water bottles I've found.
