I just received this tester and used it for the first time yesterday. I have been tracking ceiling and wall speakers and speaker wire polarity in a large wall/ceiling system I installed when we built our house a few years ago. This little tester saved me HOURS connecting the wires to the flashlight battery I was using. The tone generator perfectly determines which wires go to which speaker. As I said, it's expensive but I wish I'd bought it sooner - it would have saved me so much time and avoided so much disappointment. Use this and toner and you're done. Highly recommended.
