I have used this color for many years. It's acrylic, but it has some of the qualities of oil, like it stays wet longer so it's easier to move. I will never paint with basics again. It's cheap and you can tell. Painting with good color is important to me and Golden Open Acrylic is superior to any other color on the market. Just try. You will see a big difference in the quality of your painting.
