This kitchen gadget is great. I value strength and durability. When I only discovered the product about 3 weeks ago, the price was $75, so we jumped at it! In that short time, the price is now at $125. To my knowledge this was a new product so they increased the price as demand increased. This is a very smart move to sell more products and make a name for yourself! I like the white and gray color scheme. Some people have commented that they thought it was just white, but the pictures show both colors and the description says it's both. It's very heavy and sturdy which makes it difficult to move when folded, but ultimately I'm not sure a toddler could carry it if it was lighter/made of chipboard. a handle or slot at the top to make it easier to carry when folded. There are a few differences between this and Guidecraft. Some of the ones that come to mind are that there is no locking mechanism when the standing piece locks into place (I don't think this is really necessary as while standing it's actually impossible to pull it out) and that the standing piece has none 2 adjustable positions. I don't think the latter is necessary either, since the Guidecraft have platform heights of 15" and 18", but this one has a 20" height, which is great for us! Another difference is the lack of a non-slip mat on the platform.or a piece of mesh on one of the open sides.I just wouldn't wear my daughter with non slip socks (they are all non slip so it's fine) and since 3 sides are covered I'm not worried about one open side can just peek into the closet. Great alternative to save some money over other types! The fact that it can be folded is a great advantage for space saving!
