I bought these Polks and a pair of Definitive 6500's in early 2017 for comparison purposes. Both were great but I prefer the Polks bass and they can be loud without distortion. In the end I kept both but settled on the Polks over the yard and the 6500 under the porch where I get the best low frequency reflection. Polks have a distinctive outdoor speaker sound that's perfect for filling a large backyard. The Definitives had a more balanced sound which I prefer for smaller rooms with better acoustic performance. If you don't have a reflective woofer finish on the Definitives, the Polks are a clear winner in my opinion. I've used the smaller Polks and Bose floorstanding speakers and these are my favorites. One of my favorite speaker tests is making sure the speakers sound good at both high and low volumes. Unlike some others I've used where you lose a lot of sound at low volumes, the Polks performed really well. Satisfied and not looking for a replacement in the near future. They held up very well all season and were easy to take off for the winter.
