initially covered the smell of urine and faeces of our kitten on his fur in the buttocks area, which I could not get rid of with shampoo but after an hour the Smell up a bit again, but the next day without using any more, the smells went away! It was nice to have a kitten on my shoulder/neck (where he likes to lie) and not smell poop for the first time in a week (bad reaction to dewormers which caused severe diarrhea and because he wasn't the best at sitting in it or walk, he stunk even after bathing). My issue with this otherwise great product that does what it says on the tin is that it's too fragrant/scented for my nose. I would have preferred a more neutral, unscented version.
