I was curious if refrigerator filters TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) reduce water. I checked the following: Distilled water = 0 TDS My tap water = 35 TDSC Current filter = 34 TDSI Filter replaced and 3 gallons rinsed. The Crystala filter = 45 TDSI flushed two more gallons and still tested 45 TDS. The water smelled bad. There is a big problem here! The water is dirty with a new filter. I put the old filter back in and cleaned it up a bit more. I called Revain to get a refund. I searched for the company Crystala. Company"Crystal" no. Only it is very difficult to find the manufacturer of these filters. Right now I only buy filters from reputable companies that have real websites to contact.
