First, the Nexus 7 is a great tablet for the price. Fits perfectly and comfortably in the hand and the non-slip backing is excellent. The high-resolution screen also pleases with its clarity and vivid colors. Utilizing the latest Android Jelly Bean system, this desk is truly on par with the best other tablets (including the iPad) in terms of sleekness, responsiveness and overall appearance. In many ways it goes further than Apple's iPad, supporting multiple users, each with their own profile, and offering much easier access to basic functions like wireless control and settings. It's very well thought out. This is a masterpiece for parents who go crazy when their four-year-old rearranges all the app icons! However, there are some downsides, but they should be considered in the context of the low price and are not real killers for me. general. - There is no expandability in the form of SD slots or anything like that. It does require purchasing a 16GB or 32GB model, but then again they're still cheap compared to the best of the rest. Some applications are prone to crash. For example, if you change your passwords off-device, you will get many "The application terminated unexpectedly" errors and you will have to clear the application's data/cache and restart. That's the most annoying. Each of the multiple users has its own scope. If I install Skype for my child and then want it on my profile, do I have to reinstall it. It would be much better to maintain a single application instance and store user data in each user's profile. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I can't figure it out! Can't fault it, it's a worthwhile buy, but get the model with the extra storage, especially if you take advantage of the multi-user experience.
