1st tablet - love it!

This is a great tablet with amazing portability and functionality. Very crisp text and images, long battery life (adequate, at least for my use). Ideal for switching from app to app. My favorite feature is preloading maps from Google and using the built-in GPS - not exactly "turn-by-turn" fast for driving, but useful for exploring an unfamiliar city. We drove a long way through Pennsylvania and used a GPS for directions but used a Nexus to show where we were in the state. The kids watched the…

Ideal! Electronics

works fine. Always updates with the latest version of Android SO. The battery lasts a long time (after my main use 1 week checking email and surfing the internet a few minutes per day). I recommend it for the price. honestly. I've compared it head-to-head with the iPad Mini and yes, in my opinion: you'll find better picture quality, sometimes even better. best feedback in the Apple iPad Mini. Again small differences. If I had to choose, I would buy these again. or any other Android with a large

The Nexus 7 has several features:

First, the Nexus 7 is a great tablet for the price. Fits perfectly and comfortably in the hand and the non-slip backing is excellent. The high-resolution screen also pleases with its clarity and vivid colors. Utilizing the latest Android Jelly Bean system, this desk is truly on par with the best other tablets (including the iPad) in terms of sleekness, responsiveness and overall appearance. In many ways it goes further than Apple's iPad, supporting multiple users, each with their own profile…

It's a little darling!

Google did a good job here. It's only $50 more than the Fire, but you get a lot more. The keyboard is much more responsive and holds the wireless signal better. I like both, but I have to say I like the Nexus better. If you're on the fence, go for this one. You can still read Kindle books on it, just install Kindle for Android. I don't have an iPad so can't compare but maybe I just like the larger size. Not worth that many bucks for a little extra screen real estate. Also, Apple will soon…

Updates stopped working

Came as advertised with OS 4.4. After MANY updates (and hours) it has been updated to OS 5.1.1 (they are forced - there is no way to stop them). These updates made it slow with constant freezes and random reboots. A factory reset helped some, but it still restarted while sitting on the counter. Each time it restarted, the app would fully initialize, and the only solution was to not restart it when connected to the network. The seller was very responsive, but their "solution" was to roll it back

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Simply put, you get all the great features of the Galaxy Nexus mobile phone but with a 7 inch screen. No cellular or LTE data, but this is quickly remedied by tethering with your Gnex smartphone. This tablet is amazing. I love it because I can use the Revain MP3 Revain Kindle and Revain apps and make it a Kindle Fire but also have all my Google stuff and a wide open ecosystem. You can't use Revain Video here, but you can use Netflix or Plex if you have your own media library. Good luck with…

The best tablet I've ever used

After more than 3 months I finally have time to write a little review: I haven't been a heavy user of the tablet until now. I've played with iPads and cheap Android tablets in the office, but never owned them for more than a week. Now that I have it I am absolutely amazed at how good this gadget is. ADVANTAGES: - SIZE: My favorite feature is the size. The Nexus 7 is exactly the size a tablet should be. Small and light enough to be easily carried around and operated with one hand, but with a…

Kindle Fire replaced. Amazing experience

As the title suggests, it replaced the Kindle Fire which I had rooted and installed CM9 on. Quad core Tegra 3 processor Has 1GB of RAM Has higher resolution (albeit slightly) Comes with a $25 coupon (I don't know for how long) The Fire only beats the N7 in build quality. It just feels more solid, and some N7s suffered from screen lift. However, I am very happy with my purchase. I would give 5 stars if it had a microSD slot, I don't miss the rear camera - yet.
