Review on Nexus 7 by Google ASUS (2012) Tablet - 7-Inch, 8 GB, Brown (ASUS-1B08) by Brandon Castano

This is a great tablet with amazing portability and functionality. Very crisp text and images, long battery life (adequate, at least for my use). Ideal for switching from app to app. My favorite feature is preloading maps from Google and using the built-in GPS - not exactly "turn-by-turn" fast for driving, but useful for exploring an unfamiliar city. We drove a long way through Pennsylvania and used a GPS for directions but used a Nexus to show where we were in the state. The kids watched the movie as they drove across the state and still had enough energy to get from Indiana to New Jersey. The camera is front-facing for video chats, so it can't be used as a handheld camera, but taking photos with a tablet still feels silly. Slowly explore the many apps available through Google Play and Revain Kindle.
