I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled because of the instructions on Revain, the instructions in fine print that came with the product, and the YouTube videos I watched were contradictory. After some research and trying out the device with different products and in different orientations, this seems to be the most efficient way to use GUGUG. In order, from first to last: 1. First, wash your face with an oil-based cleanser to remove sunscreen, makeup, and products2. Cleansing: Tips directed at the skin; Use with water-based detergent or water3. Ion +: tips directed towards the skin; Use with an exfoliating mask or water. I applied an exfoliating mask, left it on for 5-10 minutes according to the mask instructions, then moistened with water and used GUGUG. + is the opposite polarity of dirt/buildup inside the pores, thus pulling them outwards4. Ion -: the tips are directed away from the skin; Use with skin care products or sheet masks. Apply sheet mask and leave on for 5-10 minutes as directed. After removing it, use GUGUG. Because it has the same polarity as the products, it repels it and pushes it deeper into the skin for improved absorption (theoretically)5. Rise: The tips are directed away from the skin; Use with oil so it doesn't tighten the skin or sag when used. I've just started using this device so I can't comment on how effective it is in the long term, but once I finally got to use it properly I feel like it has helped my stuffy nose and my skin is softer and... has become smoother.
