For the price this is a good bottle cage. I actually use it with a 32-ounce Klean Kanteen metal bottle so the metal doesn't get in the way or make noise in my bag. Thermal insulation properties are minimal, but I bought it for bottle storage, not thermal insulation. It hasn't ripped or torn yet so I can definitely say it's worth the price paid. The included carabiner works well too, hasn't failed over years of use, and I actually use it alone to attach other gear to my bag. All in all, I would recommend this as a cheap bottle cage that clips on a bike, through a belt loop, or out of your pocket on an ATV. If you need an isolator, there are far better options, but it insulates cold drinks a bit. The reduced impact in this area may be due to its dark color as I bought it in black.
