I was disappointed in the looks of the Nagoya NA-771 VHF/UHF antenna. The packaging was a simple clear plastic bag loosely wrapped around the antenna. No hallmarks other than a sticker on the pocket. The antenna itself was damaged in two places. It looks like it's somehow melted and the plastic is cracked or pinched. Even the scan mark was smudged. Could this be a fake block? I can't say for sure, but that's not the quality I would expect from a well-known antenna manufacturer. It seems to have worked when it was sent to the radio but I'm still getting it back.
