UPDATE - flicker problem. My admiration for this high quality monitor was premature. There is a very subtle flicker. Seems perfect at first. But as you work and look and stare at the keyboard, you realize there's a subtle flickering all the time. I tried changing cables (both DP and HDMI) - no difference. The same flicker. Then I plugged it into another computer - it still flickers! So it's definitely the monitor and not the cables and not the computer. I'm sending it back - and that's a shame because otherwise I love this monitor and need a good 27" - just no flicker! (I left 5 stars because I give Dell when in doubt. I think I just got the faulty one Received. Let's see when I order again...) This is a great monitor for everyday use but the screen settings it comes with are very boring. When you first plug it in you get a mediocre picture. Give Adjust the display settings using the small buttons tucked away on the underside of the front right edge of the monitor. Experiment with different options and adjust brightness, contrast, RGB, mode and more until you get the bright, sharp picture you want. This is what I did and I'm very happy with the results.Plus the stand is awesome.It rises, falls, tilts and spins.The connections are good too - there is HDMI and DP connections. All this for $170. It's a damn good deal. Just don't forget to tweak the image in the settings after you set it up.
