Review on πŸ’ͺ NOW Sports Nutrition: Unflavored Whey Protein Isolate Powder with 25g BCAAs - 5-Pound Pack by Peter Leblanc

Revainrating 5 out of 5

How does this compare to Gold Standard Natural Optimal Nutrition? Continue reading.

I buy ONLY 100% natural protein (NO aspartame/acesulfame-k/sucralose, NO chemicals or artificial colors/flavors/colours)! And everyone who consumes protein should be inherently health conscious, so why would anyone consider ANY protein powder with this crap in it? It's outside of me. There are 1000 flavors (Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Triple Espresso Fudge Cake, Cake Dough, Blue Lemon Truffle Punch, etc.) Am I serious? Are there millions of morbidly obese bodybuilders out there who want a protein shake that tastes like their favorite candy bar and are ruining their health in the process? Anyway, I'll be moving away from my soapbox, but for the rest of you who don't want cancer or brain cancer and really care about what you put in your body, then look no further than this protein powder! Okay, I've spent many days researching to see if I could dethrone my current protein powder (Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Natural Whey Protein Powder), which I absolutely love! But I wanted to see if there was anything better or just as good cheaper. Enter this product. Now this review serves to compare these two highly rated kings! These 2 powders are the cream of the crop when it comes to All Natural. To help with the analysis, please refer to the attached table. So bottom line is this for $1. NOW = 39g protein, A = 30.9g protein. So with NOW you get 26% more protein for the same money! What is it like to analyze the "dollar menu"? They're both highly rated and both are great choices. The difference, however, is that ON contains sugar (yes, natural sugar!) and natural flavor, so naturally people love sweets, so it has a flavor advantage (10/10 in my book. I literally love it just as much). like a milkshake and not that sweet, just enough to be noticeable but not unhealthy). The reviews for this NOW said it tasted awful and bitter and I was really scared to buy it, but due to the price per gram of protein and it seemed like an even healthier choice compared to ON I decided to give it a try . Let me tell you, it's absolutely amazing! Well, not as great as sugar-sweetened ON, but due to the fact that it's nothing but 100% protein (no sweetener/flavour), it's totally fine! Currently. Let me preface these "taste" statements with one thing. I ALWAYS use milk in my protein shakes (16 ounces milk - skim milk / 1% / 2% / whole milk) with 2 scoops of protein, blend for 20 seconds, drink. I thought I had to mix half/half NOW, but I really don't. NOW just tastes neutral, like I only drink milk (which I love), but just as or even slightly better than regular milk. Now that NOW is sugar/flavor free, it's a more "natural" choice over ON. plus includes 26% more protein for every dollar spent. I'm completely sold! If I feel like it I can spice it up with vanilla, honey, chocolate, peanut butter, banana. Or it tastes neutral enough that I don't feel like I need to drown out the flavor of either of those things. It's also delicious with milk! Additionally, NOW has the added benefit of being unflavored for use in recipes (without unintentionally adding sweet/aromatic flavors (vanilla/chocolate) to your favorite recipes. Another added benefit to look out for is that NOW still has a 5.0 rating There's no attempt to discreetly shrink to 4.8 pounds (like ON), manufacturers are slow at that, so you're still paying the same $50 for a tub, but now the capacity is slightly smaller Anyway, these two proteins are my favorite proteins, but if you delve into the smallest of details, then I've found a clear winner, outperforming all natural proteins (IMHO).3 hours on my day off to write this review for writing it!) Let me know if this was helpful to you or if you have any questions. Thanks um!
