I recently needed to install some GPS related displays in the cockpit of my small plane and discovered the RAM line of products. My compact space requirements required secure attachment of items without interfering with the view of other vital instruments or gauges. As a result, I had to try several combinations of RAM components before finding the right one. As an engineer with extensive design experience, I've been impressed with the design and build of every RAM component I've tried. I am also very pleased and impressed by the fact that the manufacturer provides detailed mechanical drawings of almost all of their components on their website, making it easy to design mounting options for multiple components. I also find the prices for components to be very reasonable. I'm a frugal and cautious buyer, but for the quality of the design and craftsmanship I honestly expected to pay more.
