I rechargeable with a USB-C cable. Fantastic! We almost don't use anything with the micro USB anymore so it was nice to see this included. I've charged mine up right from my computer and my kids have had the best time playing with it. I ordered this because we live on the East coast right on hurricane Alley. My little ones always need a good source of light and this comes with two separate flashlights banked right in the side which is perfect.This is definitely nice and bright and can light up my living room without an issue. I do wish that the side flashlights were rechargeables with battery backups like the main light. I'm using rechargeable triple A's in them so that's almost as good, kind of.You've got two brightness levels plus a red and a flashing red light. The flashing drives me absolutely nuts but it's definitely a plus to have. We will be keeping this charged and on the counter during the summer but it would also be a fantastic light to keep in your car. It comes with two fall down metal hooks to hang it and the individual flashlights have not only a plastic GA hook as well as magnets. The entire unit seems pretty sturdy and it's on a nice firm base. In other words, it doesn't flip over easily and even if it does, it seems pretty well put together. Overall, I think this is a good value and a good choice.
