A good piece of gear for the price, with great optical stabilization at maximum zoom and a shutter speed of 1/1000 that's more than fast enough for any moving subject, with many preloaded shooting modes. In terms of practicality, it's not a DSLR, but it's also not soap and it's already very far away. It has a lot going for it, including a zoom lens, a stabilizer, a wide variety of shooting modes and effects, in-camera editing, and an ISO aperture that, when used properly, is at mirror level. Told you so: Manual focus and zoom settings in the viewfinder are a little murky, making them difficult for novices.
