To be honest I'm not very happy that I can't give the full five stars. Here are the shoes: -- as you have probably read, great design, look, feel and fit - - dries relatively quickly - very breathable, airy - super light on the foot - overall great comfort - secure grip on the sole But here it is Key: Of course, the fact that you have a mesh - multiple meshes, by the way - means that what comes out of the shoe can (and does) move in the sand. I'm surprised nobody mentioned this in their reviews. Although this is obvious from the properties of the shoe, it only becomes clear in practical use on the respective beach: A shoe that is absolutely permeable on all sides lets just as much sand through as outside. (Of course!). A particular problem is that the sand collects and remains in the shoe directly under the feet. As a result, you walk with a huge lump of sand in your shoe. And that happens very quickly in any sandy environment, dry or wet. And then take off your shoes, empty them as soon as possible, but the sand, whether dry or wet, will quickly seep back into the same medium. Also, take your shoes home with you. , it takes a very long time to wash out all the sand, either in a bathtub or in a good powerful sink. And also check the shoes the next day and be sure that there is still a large amount of dry sand and small fragments of shells stuck between the numerous nets. (And shaking is the most effective attempt at removal, not rewetting. Still a lot of work). I have used other major brands of swim shoes for many years and they repel sand and dirt much better. strong, but overall they were a bit heavier and didn't dry as quickly. Therefore it is a challenging shoe for swimming/walking on the beach where there is sand. However, I will keep them for events/pool areas and even at home. And I agree with one of the other reviewers, the shoes really do look so good I think you could go to an upscale restaurant in them. And I look forward to doing it in Miami soon.
