I first tried them out with a bunch of friends when I got together outdoors in the 40°F (keeping social distancing). I bought two packs (twelve heating pads) and took them outside to keep us warm. A third of them "fired" instantly with a single click on the internal hard drive, a third took many attempts before they "fired", and a third refused to start at all. Pretty disappointing. After a couple of uses, they're much easier to boot: now all that's usually left to do is wipe the internal drive, and I haven't had a single boot error in a while. Let's hope it doesn't start up as easily as spontaneously during storage. Starting problems aside, they run well and generate a lot of heat.
