Review on 🕰️ Seiko SRPB43 Men's PRESAGE Automatic Watch with Date - Enhanced for SEO by Rex Bareham

The photos do not represent the appearance of this watch well

A few years ago I had the idea of buying an original Seiko "Cocktail Time" watch - SARB065. I hesitated too long and this watch has been discontinued with a corresponding price increase. When Seiko released the new version (SRBP43 for the global market, SARY075 for the Japanese market), I wasn't that impressed. The 4R movement is a step down from the higher power reserve 6R movement in the SARB, and the beautiful "automatic” lettering on the dial has been replaced with Seiko’s "Presage” branding. However, the availability of the new version in the domestic market and the lower price motivated me to go further and pull the trigger. Mixologist/club owner Shinobu Ishigaki. The icy blue face is inspired by his skydiving cocktail. The new line features new dial/case colors inspired by other drinks, but the ice blue dial is iconic. Photos do not convey the dial of this watch very well. Depending on the lighting, the color ranges from light silver to deep ice blue. sometimes it even takes on pink tones. A delicate radial guilloche pattern lets the light play constantly on the face. It really is something special. The case is fully polished and the finish of the case is exceptional, which is the norm for Seiko. faceted dauphine hands, blued second hand and faceted indexes further underline the aesthetics of this mid-century watch. If it was 36mm you'd swear it was the '60s. Like the original Cocktail Time, the Presage is 40mm in diameter and is worn like a 40mm dress watch. The large push-pull crown with Seiko's "S" lettering gives the watch a vintage look, as does the high-domed Hardlex glass. Personally, I would have preferred a sapphire for durability reasons, but this watch doesn't exceed my imagination. Its natural habitat peeks out from under your suit's cuffs, so Hardlex is acceptable. The SRBP watch is water resistant to 50m, which is typical for a business suit watch or even a bit overpriced. Would you really still wear this diving watch? The caseback houses a hand-wound 4R movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Like most Seiko movements, the 4R36 is completely business-like, but Seiko jazzed it up a bit with a gold-plated rotor. One of the benefits of replacing a 6R mechanism with a 4R mechanism is that the 4R mechanism is thinner. The new watch is easier to tuck under a shirt sleeve. The movement and watch are made in Japan, unlike Seiko's cheaper automatic movements, which are increasingly being outsourced to Malaysian factories. Belt. ok i think This is a very shiny patent leather on a beautiful Seiko branded folding clasp. Clean navy stitching adds character to the black strap and is softer and more flexible than the crocodile leatherette strap that came with my SARB 017 Alpinist. I ordered a brown alligator leather strap from Hadley-Roma, which should go well with Cocktail Time's dashing looks. The folding element can also be replaced by this strap. It should work with any 20mm wide strap tapering to 18mm. There really is nothing better than Cocktail Time. Hamilton Jazzmasters and Intramatics have a mid-century vibe, but are more expensive and not as appealing. Orient Bambino is cheaper but not as nice. And no one else has a dial like this. this dial.
