If you are upgrading your computer, this is a great choice because you can use Transcend's free system copy software. Of course, this only works if you upgrade to Transcend SSDs. The software is well written and easy to use, and the drive comes with instructions. I've now done this on a desktop PC and it's made an incredible difference in performance that's well worth the money. But I've done it on laptops and never got the same improvement. I think the reason is that the laptop is probably SATA I or SATA II and not the faster SATA III on the desktop. For me it's still worth it because the laptop has many hours on it and the SSD uses much less power. If you need a USB adapter to do the transfer, I recommend the Inateck FE2006. It costs a few dollars more than others but seems to be the most reliable I've tried.
