Lasts a very long time if properly conditioned

I want to stress the importance of conditioning this battery properly the first few times. You must discharge the battery until it is completely discharged, charge it completely, and then discharge it again. Repeat this again and each time you do this you will see the battery hold more and more charge. It comes with a really good load. I don't know if it was fully charged, but it looks like it was. I used it to clean three large rooms until it ran out of juice. I made sure it was completely dead by letting it run a few times after it said "Charge Roomba" until it finally stopped moving. Then I charged it fully and restarted. This time I did the same three rooms, and then again and again. I was beginning to think that this battery would never run out. This battery is much better than the original Roomba battery. Now the battery is new and I don't know how long it will last, but my first experiences have been excellent. I will update here again when the battery is a year out of warranty. I have to point out that the surfaces the Roomba 770 tackled weren't easy, so given that the performance is even more impressive. For example, there are several small, thick carpets on the wooden floors that Roomba has to climb up with difficulty. There are also many obstacles when driving the device through rooms that use more energy than a regular flat wood or vinyl floor. I had a problem when I first installed the battery. It worked fine on the first run, but when I plugged it into AC power to charge, it didn't recognize the battery. I have "loading error 1". I did a reset on the Roomba website but nothing happened. I took out the battery, cleaned the Roomba's contacts with a wire brush, put the battery back in and all was fine. At first I thought the battery wasn't thick enough and maybe I needed a small piece of foam at the top to press it against the poles, but in the end cleaning helped. If you're having this problem, try cleaning the terminals (your old battery might have leaked a bit) and if you're not having any luck, add some foam padding between the top of the battery and the battery cover. As others have said here, if you have a problem post it here in the reviews to get attention. I wrote to the support address provided in the battery box, but four days later they did not reply. As it turns out, I don't need any assistance at the moment.
