I would like to separate the product itself from the price criticism, but I won't allow it. I bought a 2 lb can of this Phood product in July after not being happy with the previous vegan protein powder I've used. I understand that this is not a pure protein powder, but it seemed to me that it should meet my needs. As for the product itself, I was pleased with the taste, texture, and blend. It doesn't completely satisfy my hunger but seems to be a satisfying addition to some of my low-calorie vegan meals (I've recently turned vegan and am trying to keep my protein intake high). I complain that the price I bought in July was on the higher end of my budget at just under $40 for a 2lb container, or about $2 per serving (I bought $38.88 dollars paid to be exact). But then I was fine with it, even though my other vegan protein powder was about $20. Now, just 3 months later, the price is up 25% to $48.65! It's just crazy! Gave me a price straight from the market. I tried this brand of pure protein powder, which is a bit cheaper, but the taste and mixability were not satisfactory. If Phood doesn't go down in price, which I hope, otherwise I'll just go back to my old vegan protein powder.
