Great budget headset

TL/DR is a great budget headset for video calls when you need Bluetooth, over-ear headphones and a boom mic. Like many others, I've spent the past year spending way more time in Zoom and Slack meetings than I ever wanted, and I needed to find the best headset for my laptop without breaking the bank. I used an old Logitech wired gaming headset after upgrading to a SteelSeries 7 wireless system for actual gaming. After discovering the benefits of wireless with SteelSeries, I wanted to go wireless for video calls but didn't want to use a wireless adapter. So my "must haves" were Bluetooth, comfortable earcups, and a boom mic (I've had mixed results with "beamforming" boomless mics). After a month of unsuccessful searching, I just couldn't find anything in my price range. With these three characteristics, I stumbled across them. I've been using JLab's headphones for ages and am currently using a set of their true wireless headphones (which are amazing value for money) so I decided to give them a try despite the lack of reviews for this relatively new product. God I'm glad I did it. Basically, if you need over-ear cups and a boom mic, this is the perfect budget Bluetooth headset for video calls. They connected to both my laptop and Pixel 5 phone for the first time, and switching between them is easy and reliable. After switching to "music” mode (simultaneously long-pressing the volume up and down buttons), the sound is quite suitable for video calls, and for normal music listening/watching YouTube videos – not brilliant, not for audiophiles, of course, but according to your taste. expected. The microphone works perfectly, there are no complaints on the other end. They are very comfortable and well soundproofed. Can't speak to the battery life yet as it's not over yet - I've been using it for 3 days, about 6 hours of calls. Basically I have nothing to complain about and for the price I feel well advised. .I will update this review in a month or two.
