I used it to piercing my nose and it worked decently. Gun can jam lol. But in the end he did his job, but with little work. The seat backs have connection issues, at least when used in the nose. I ended up not using the substrate. You can always put the back on by hand after the initial piercing. The trimmings it comes with appear to be decent entry-level items and they work, although the posts for the nose stud are a bit long. Generally painless. I'm used to using needles and doing it myself, but the gun wasn't bad, aside from what I mentioned earlier about jamming.
