I broke a rear wheel on my Marin Bobcat Trail 5 (think Deore 1x10, coil fork, alloy frame, hydraulic brakes) and it was expensive to replace. The tires were gone too. When the tension was high, these got quite the conversation and turned correctly for my untrained eye. I rode to work during the fall and winter and rode them on easy trails a few times. Not for muddy trails or insanely good traction as they pick up mud quickly. I estimate them at 1,000 miles, mostly tarmac, so far so good. The tires are flexible, roll fast on asphalt and light trails, are easy to mount without tubes and hold air well. Despite the overused road surface, the tire tread still looks good. That's a lot, especially with the included tires.
