I rarely write a product review the day I open a product, but feel compelled to write a few words of praise on my first observations of this Sunex 8514 tractor seat. Sunex 8514 Sunex tractor seat I bought a similar stool is a thing of the past and it has always been a hassle to dig out wrenches and other tools for the sometimes messy assembly. I actually put off building this stool for a few days because I didn't have time to dig up the various tools I thought I would need for the build. Not so with this tractor stool from Sunex. Neatly and securely packaged in a very strong cardboard box, this rolling stool consists of only 3 individual parts, requiring no tools to assemble and use. UPDATE: December 2, 2016 Downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars. a pretty good stool by far, apart from the fact that the roller bearings are now starting to fall out and roll around on my floor. Considering I've used this stool on tile floors in my house the entire time I've had it** Section 1 is the base plate with all 5 casters installed correctly. ** Section 2 is a preloaded pneumatic cylinder. This is the post for supporting and adjusting the height of the seat.** Section 3 is the seat itself. There are no other separate parts, parts, or kits in the shipping carton that need to be installed. The base, cylinder and seat snap together in under a minute, with no tools or effort required. First impressions of the stool are that it is quite durable and should serve for many years with high quality. The height adjustment is certainly sufficient for most applications. The lower tool tray is designed for heavy-duty use, with stabilizing stiffeners built into the tray itself. The seat is nicely profiled and very comfortable. The height adjustment lever is convenient and easy to use. All in all, this stool appears to be a keeper that will provide excellent service for many years to come. I'm looking forward to it and will update this review if it doesn't work properly. UPDATE: December 2, 2016 - Star rating changed from 5 stars to 3 stars. I have been using this stool occasionally and exclusively at home for over 4 months. I had it. Now the ball bearings in the wheels will start to fall out. All other functions continue to work normally. However, I'm sure I'll have to replace this stool with another one soon if I can't find replacement casters. I haven't found a place for thread rolls yet. If anyone knows of a good source, post it here in the comments.
