Product: BioPEDIC Fresh and Clean Duvet, Full/Queen, White I have mixed feelings about this duvet. There are things I like and I don't really like. After all, it serves my needs...at least until I find something I like better. I can't say anything about the germ-resistant properties of this blanket. I take her word for it. I didn't notice that it holds back odors. I washed it before use. That was the first problem. It barely fits in my washing machine and it is a large capacity washing machine. I had the same drying problem. I didn't feel it could circulate well in the washing machine. I ended up putting it on a large dining table to dry completely. I used dry detergent and I ended up with undissolved detergent particles on the duvet because it wasn't circulating properly. I will definitely use liquid detergent or capsules in the future. It works well on stains. That's a big plus, especially since he's white and I can be clumsy. There were a few stains (okay, there were probably more than a few) and I was able to get rid of them with a rag and stain remover without putting it in the washing machine. After a few months of use, it's still white. The second big issue is that it's not long enough for my king size mattress. I have a 14 inch mattress and about 2-3 inches of the mattress is sticking out from under the bed. This occurs when the top of the duvet is stretched over the top of the mattress with no pillow underneath. The sides barely cover the sides and I have to make sure the quilt lines up perfectly. I think it will fit a full size or a 12" queen. The structure was fine. The stitching is even, there were no loose threads. It's lightly padded, which is my personal preference. It's surprisingly soft and comfortable for that amount of padding.I don't live where it's very cold but it seems to retain heat well.I don't always cover it at night as it gets too hot for me.On the even colder nights it was more than enough to keep you warm.I don't like a lot of weight in my bedspreads and this is perfect for me.I really like the softness and weight of this blanket which it saved me.That and the cat likes it a lot so here is the thing it will probably tell me how long i have been wearing this blanket the fit on my bed and in the washer/dryer has given me 3 stars instead of 4 these are critical areas for me.
