I have been looking for a while for a smaller briefcase to carry my small items (periodicals, folders, and small notebooks) to work. So far, this has been a perfect fit. The buckle is sturdy and reliably opens and closes. The leather is durable and of high quality. It has a rough feel to it; as opposed to the smooth leather found in other briefcases. Be advised, this briefcase does not hold a significant amount of stuff inside. For example, I can put a Surface, a folder and one or two small notebooks (5 x 8) and that fills it.
