I've read the directions and it says not to leave it in hot places as the pillows will fall apart. It is extremely inconvenient to use in a car which is why I bought it and what it is advertised for. i live in florida Outside of our winter, which lasts about two weeks, it's hot. I got this because there are three pillow options that I really liked. Two of them are made of memory foam and became flat as a pancake after a week of use. Since I can't use them in the car because it's hot, I use them to add lumbar support when I'm sitting on the couch. It's okay if I also use a throw pillow. Overall I would not recommend this.
