Revainrating 5 out of 5

Forget other cameras. This is the best. Bye

Forget about other cameras. TRV-310 and TRV-510 are the best available today. undoubtedly. Don't waste your time looking for other options because no other handheld camcorder (in this category) can match the features and quality of these camcorders. I've been playing with my TRV-310 for about 10 days and I'm really impressed with this camera. This is my fifth camcorder (all 8mm and HI-8) I've used and it's the best camcorder I've ever seen. Some comments. The 310's LCD screen is amazing. By far the best LCD I've ever seen in my life. It's clear, bright, sharp and big. 3.5 inches. The color is more correct. It's a pleasure to watch your videotapes wherever there is no connection to the TV. This is one of the most important features of this camera and you should take it into account when analyzing it. You will use it often. The 20x optical zoom is enough and works great (much better than my old Hi-8 camera). BREAKS are amazing. There is no way to avoid hitting the PAUSE button. Try pressing the SLOW button and you'll get a clear and sharp image. I have recorded many videos in 8 and Hi-8 format. 310 is able to perfectly play any video cassette in these formats. This camera is the right choice for anyone with 8 and Hi-8 bands. Don't waste time thinking about buying a mini DV camcorder, you have many more options when you use a digital camera that supports your old cassettes with the same quality and flexibility. Incidentally, Hi-8 tapes are cheaper than Mini-DV tapes. I didn't see any discernible difference between connecting regular video and S-Video to my TV. The included battery is not enough, and the extra battery is very important. . The infrared night vision works very well (Think it really matters?). The 16:9 aspect ratio is wonderful. In the beginning you don't pay that much attention to it, but once you start you love this alternative. If you have a 16:9 TV, this feature will be fantastic for you. If you are considering buying such a TV (to watch your DVDs), this could be an important feature to consider. One of the most important things, and I rarely see comments, is SOUND. The PCM system is fantastic. I connected my camcorder to my receiver and was amazed by the quality, the clear and powerful sound. There is a big difference between this PCM AUDIO and the audio system on my old Hi-8 camera. Usually when we buy a camcorder we don't spend so much time analyzing the sound, we focus on the video system and don't care about the sound. I am sure that the AUDIO SYSTEM of this digital camera will pleasantly surprise you. You'll feel a world of difference when you connect your camera to a Pro-Logic Dolby Surround Sound or digital receiver. If you have a home theater system with Adobe Digital 5:1. BAD THING: One missing feature from the 310 is voice output. For this type of cameras, this function is important and practical. I want to record a narration or add an audio track to the camera after recording a video. Based on the guide I can do this by editing videos on my PC but so far I haven't tried it. So I don't know if this will work well. GRAINY VIDEO: I've read some of the comments about making sure you have enough light so the video doesn't appear slightly grainy. That's true, but not entirely. Enlightenment is not bargaining. Don't make a decision with this comment as important! Most of the time, 95% of the time, you'll be shooting with enough light to make a brilliant and beautiful video. So the other 5% of the time, poor lighting can result and your video will be a bit grainy. So what ? The important thing here is that other cameras have the same problem, so this is not decisive for buyers. Don't waste your time with these comments. Finally. I did a very thorough analysis comparing TRV-510 and TRV-310. 310 is probably a good choice as it offers the most advanced features at a lower price. I repeat the comment I saw below. The 310 model is LIGHT YEARS superior to other models.
