Having read other reviews of very difficult or impossible disassembly when changing filters I decided to pre-lubricate all O-rings before installing the unit. Wow. It was very difficult to take apart when it was brand new prior to installation. Stay tuned. Don't use force to disassemble it. Use tap water silicone grease on all o-rings. After doing this and reassembling the filter, I took it apart again like changing the filter element. This time it was easy to take it apart. Re-lubricate all O-rings the next time you change the filter element. Hope that helps. The water quality after 10 minutes of washing is excellent. The best water we have ever received from a previous filter. and we had many others. PS Use two stainless steel washers 1/2" ID x 2" OD (plus a silicone gasket where they meet the sink) to clamp the new faucet on either side of the sink opening. Delivers very stable results.
